Hi folks, first of all thanks for looking me up!
I am a highly-motivated fly fishing guide with an amazing enthusiasm for the sport of fly fishing, a sport which I have been a part of from a very early age.
I was brought up in the Scottish Borders and I had access to some wonderful wild trout and grayling fishing on both the world-famous River Tweed and its largest tributary, the Teviot.
The area also has a wealth of hill lochs too and small, stillwater trout fisheries, all of which I’d visit on a regular basis, before I moved south to the English Midlands in 2005.
Since then I have fished extensively throughout Europe searching out specimen trout and grayling. I have also been fortunate enough to visit many other destinations around the world, including the warm-water havens of Mexico, Cuba – where I was lucky enough to get a ‘Grand Slam’..
By spending time and working alongside many outstanding and influential people within fly fishing, I’ve had great opportunities to enhance my knowledge. With the help of these people I’ve constantly acquired and developed various skills that have improved both my fishing and guiding abilities.
After working as editor Total FlyFisher, at the time, sport’s newest and freshest fly fishing magazine, since 2005, I moved on in February 2015 to become the Brand Manager at Wychwood Game Fishing, looking to continue my fly fishing career within the product side of the industry.
I’m a multi-capped England International (despite being Scottish) and I have represented England at all levels of competition, from international to world events.
I’ve been the English National Champion, winner of the Grafaham Trophy, part of the gold medal winning team at the inaugural 5 Nations Tournament and also a team member of the Ospresy Fishing team that won the prestigeous Lexus Fly Fishing Championships.
